Founded in 1971 as a breakaway club in Atlanta’s emerging rugby scene, the Atlanta Renegades Rugby Football Club has spent more than five decades shaping the city’s rugby identity. From hosting the first Peachtree Invitational in 1973 to building late-1970s dominance in Georgia, the Renegades grew into one of the South’s enduring rugby institutions.
Our story stretches from early tours of Britain and long-running ties with Newport Saracens to national-level runs in 2009 and 2012, and to today’s work at Silverbacks Park, where the club continues to compete, welcome new players, and invest in Atlanta’s rugby future.
